Well folks, I came home to one hell of a story… I woke up this morning to this gorgeous view… I had to be at #TheNuggetCafe at 7:45 considering we no longer had Mike with us…

IMG 5289

So I guess not long after I left for #ColoradoSprings yesterday this idiot created quite the scene at the #Cafe…

Remember how I told you about the college kid who comes up on the weekends to help, well he was there for #LaborDay and it was quite busy… I guess Mike walked in and took a table… The table just wanted some pie and coffee and Mike told them we were out of pie… Well, the college kid Matt overheard this and confronted Mike about it because we never run out of pie…

I guess that’s when Mike truly lost it and screamed “I didn’t fucking tell them there was no pie!”

That was enough for Chris to hear… He grabbed Mike and threw his ass out the back door and told him to never come back… I saw Mike leave this morning with this girl who worked in the #TaylorParkGiftShop… I guess they were heading to the #GrandCanyon where the girl had her next #SeasonalJob…

I wanted to warn her about Mike but I guess she will learn soon enough… I just hope she doesn’t get him a job because this guy is bats nuts and he has a gun folks! This is one of the main reasons I am for tight regulations on guns because nut balls like this guy should definitely not have one… It’s only a matter of time with that idiot and I’m not joking… I just hope no one gets hurt but what can you do in a country that blindly protects such idiots like these…

So I worked two doubles and a half of a day on Thursday… I was waiting for Matt to come in to relieve me on Thursday… He came in around four… When I was slow, I took the time to look at all the pictures in the Nugget Cafe… It really amazed me that I was in one of the #cabins built by this family… You can see in the pictures above, the trucks bringing in the logs and kids playing as they get the logs ready to build the cabins… The history here brings tears to my eyes, knowing most of these people have passed on but their legacy is still enjoyed my so many…

IMG 5311IMG 5312IMG 5313IMG 5314

To think back then there were no #CellPhones… They didn’t even know what a computer or the #internet were… And they were probably way behind the times even back then…

IMG 5316IMG 5317IMG 5318IMG 5319

The history of it all excites me! Think of the gatherings they had… The family holidays… The accomplishments they shared as a family as they saw this #ranch slowly build and become a destination for others to #vacation… The snow storms… The sunny days… The different #cowboys and #ranchers that have passed through… Even the passing of their loved ones brought them even closer together… I realize I admire such things because I honestly want this in my life… I want this for my #family, if I ever have one…

IMG 5321IMG 5327

This place is what I would think #heaven would be like… These folks don’t need to worry about where they go when they die because they have created a heaven on earth… Now, I’m sure they have their #politics and the crazy, asshole family member but when all is said and done, they can always look at what they have built and look back on great memories, which is something you can never buy…

IMG 5328

Now I am apart of that history, god help them… lol… I am a little blip in the #KranorFamily history at The Nugget Cafe… I’m sure I will fade away quickly and will be forgotten but I helped keep this #FamilyTradition alive by working here for a short while… I am proud to be apart of something so wholesome and simple… And I hope this will not be the last time I see this place… Maybe a picture of myself will be hung up one day… I can dream can’t I?

IMG 5329IMG 5331

I saw some gorgeous #sunsets working my doubles… The Nugget Cafe was slow but steady… Actually there were always three tables in the place all day, which got a little aggravating because I couldn’t get a break…

IMG 5332IMG 5336

I guess all the #locals heard about us shutting down for the #season, so they all came up for a last bite… Remember, there’s not much to do around here so a cafe closing down for the season is considered a big deal…

IMG 5338IMG 5341

Here’s pictures of a little #weasel who was running back and forth like a maniac, right outside the cafe… He was so cute! I had never seen a #wild weasel before… He kept on running out of the #bush, stopping and looking at me and a few curious customers and then he would run back into the bush… He did this over and over again, almost like he was trying to play with us… I took like 20 pictures but only two really captured him, he was so fast…

IMG 5346IMG 5347

I did end up catching that bug that was going around at the end of my crazy work marathon… I think my body was run down and the #weather change was really taking a toll on me…

IMG 5348IMG 5349

But I muscled my way through without too much complaining…

IMG 5350IMG 5351

I found myself getting sad knowing it would all be over soon… My two buddies were leaving next Wednesday and then I was out of here myself on Saturday…

IMG 5352

Another chapter in the Kranor family history is about to be closed… Another lucrative summer for them, I hope…. from a little vacation community they built themselves… You can’t get much better than this folks.. Goodnight….
