I worked a double today folks and it was busy as hell! #Brunch was packed and I had to go in early to help Mike the waiter, it was so busy. I did get to take this beautiful picture of a sunset behind #MatchlessMountain though… I took it from the sliding glass door inside the restaurant… It looks almost like a painting…
If you look closely next to the #cabins you will see all of the #trailers and #ATV’s… I wake up around 7:30 am because the roar of all of the ATV’s outside is so loud…
This is what it looked like outside this morning! If you see more than 5 vehicles out in front of #TheNuggetCafe, you pretty much can bet your ass it’s busy as hell! When I looked out this window this morning, I was afraid to even go into the #cafe to get a coffee, in fear that I would have to work because there is only Mike #serving in the mornings…
I have to say I have become accustomed to the morning busy roar… It has almost a sense of excitement about it… Everyone is eager to get to their #FourWheeling… People are ready for breakfast, discussing their adventures from the day before… It’s an energetic sophisticated #hick type energy… Most of these #folks are early risers… We even have people standing in front of the Nugget Cafe at 7:30 am, waiting for it to open at 8am…
Now, this I can’t understand… There are so many things to get done on my schedule that standing in front of a closed cafe for a half hour is just a waste of time to me… But to each his own… But pick up a paper and read what is going on in the world instead of killing time… Learn something folks yet I am also a fan of having your down thinking time… so who am I to judge?
I am also shocked by how many #southerners don’t drink coffee… The first thing I am looking for when I wake up is a cup of Joe! I am miserable without it! I even joke with some of my early risers that I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t drink coffee… A little quirk I picked up from my Granddad but his rule was he didn’t trust anyone who didn’t drink alcohol… Since I don’t drink much anymore I guess that theory wouldn’t fit my needs to well… so I decided to carry on with the lack of trust with people who don’t like a caffeine high when they wake up…. lol…
This lifestyle is really growing on me, even with the noisy #ATV’s… I get the #freedom these folks are trying to achieve and I commend them on their effort to blend their #TechnologicalMachines with #nature… I was a complete skeptic of these #vehicles when I got up here but seeing how it brings all these people together and brings them closer to nature, I can’t say it’s not a good thing…
It’s almost like these folks have stumbled upon a huge compromise which the rest of #America and #Congress cannot achieve… I, as an open minded liberal, find them very easy to get along with because of what they are trying to achieve… Only if we could get the country to find this rare compromise between #conservatives and #liberals… Not that there are not fights over these noisy #ATV’s, especially from the #locals who hate them, but there is a sense of people getting past their moans and gripes… Knowing that everyone here is trying to achieve the same goal, and that’s having fun with family and friends up in these always giving #mountains, is enough for me to explore both sides of the conflict to hopefully find a grand compromise…
The power of these mountains is astronomical folks! I suggest everyone come up and experience them for at least a month! All these mountains and the #creatures that settle here are so giving to anyone who wants to receive… Only if I could spread this amazing #energy and sense of reconciliation to the rest of the world… Maybe it’s the #altitude up here but I wish these mountains were everywhere, for everyone to experience… I know they have changed my life for the better! Goodnight…
