There’s Griffin and Michael working hard after a day of partying yesterday… I didn’t come in until noon… I was so sick I had to sleep in…
They pulled all of the equipment out, including the huge #grill and #oven, so it could be steam cleaned outside…
I realized then how much of a job this was going to be and also realized why this was going to take 3 days…
Everything was beaten up by a season of hungry hicks…
Richard and Chris were outside in charge of the steam cleaning…
I was solely in charge of the front of the house… It looked daunting at first but I told myself, do one thing at a time and enjoy the process instead of dreading it…
We had music blasting and we screamed childish banter like the phrase from one of the #SouthPark’s Episodes, “They Took Eer Jobs!” For some reason we all got a kick out of this and it made the time go by faster…
If anyone had walked in, they would have thought we were nuts… Which we basically are…
I was kind of excited to see the finished results and be apart of a closing, which I have never done in the past… Here’s the two #chefs, Billy and Jason, working hard on the #range before it gets steamed cleaned…
David, the other chef, went to town on our baking oven where all the pies were cooked… It was stained from months of #baking… On the right is our little #TaylorPark salt and pepper shaker holders… Just adding to the authenticity of this great #mountain #cafe…
No tips for the cooks today but I have seen this jar above full plenty of times and for good reason…
I started my mission by clearing out the whole back area and wiping everything down… All the equipment to the left had to be cleared out and steam cleaned outside…
By the evening we were already seeing a huge progress… It was a slow yet effective battle…
I think Dave is showing his ability to get things done… This oven is unrecognizable and has been a long battle of its own…
These guys look like they work for the town…. One person working and two watching, lol…
My equipment was soon outside for a steam clean… Now to wipe down the walls and scrub the floor…
And while we worked tirelessly on getting #TheNuggetCafe clean for shut down, our #Bovine friends were busy at work mowing our back lawn…
My spiritual friends couldn’t resist the positive work energy inside and had to come and participate… They actually got into our #GreaseTraps last night and ate all of the grease… The #cooks were pissed because they crapped a runny mess everywhere… I find it so amusing and actually felt bad for the poor #cows that fell into this grease trap… lol…
At the end of the day, we left an uncompleted yet well executed project looking forward to hopefully getting close to the end tomorrow… Considering my young friends were leaving first thing Wednesday, I went over to their place and hung out for the night, celebrating the end to a long #season for them…
It may be a long, messy, arduous project we are tackling but doing it together just makes it that much less #laborious… Because when you are with friends nothing seems to hard or messy to tackle… Good night…
